FreightForensic was founded by someone who started their career in the late 1990s installing the data networks that run inside America's truck stop corridors — laying DS3 broadband lines through Petro Travel Centers when the freight industry was first moving from green-screen load board terminals to internet-based rate data.
The load board that became the data backbone of US domestic freight rate pricing — DAT Solutions — was co-created by our founder's father. We understand this industry at the infrastructure level, not just the application layer.
We watched the digital freight platforms raise hundreds of millions of dollars and build sophisticated tools for enterprise shippers with logistics teams. Nobody built for the operations manager at a food company or a metal fabricator who handles freight as one of ten jobs. That person is who we built FreightForensic for.
When we say freight is opaque, we don't mean we read about it. We mean we watched the system get built and we understand exactly which parts of the opacity are structural, which are accidental, and which are deliberate.
FreightForensic exists to give every B2B shipper the same freight intelligence that large enterprises pay consulting firms to provide — delivered in plain English, within 24 hours, at a price that makes sense for a $10M company.
We are not a freight broker. We do not take margin on your shipments. We do not arrange transportation. We do not have a carrier network we are trying to fill. Our entire revenue comes from subscriptions and per-audit fees — which means our incentive is always to find what is wrong with your invoices, not to protect any carrier or broker relationship.
